In context of a Summer Collections Studies Program, a curatorial team from Mehrangarh was welcomed at The City Palace Udaipur on 8th June.
The highlight of the meeting was the several realms of restoration and conservation efforts taken at The City Palace over the last 7 years. Eternal Mewar is proud to have consolidated archival data, pictures and paintings that belonged to the legacy for the forthcoming generations to cherish. This has been done with help of a software for photo and painting collection, developed in-house. The Mehrangarh team were given a tour of the same during the meeting.
Then followed a visit to The Museum, various galleries including Splendour of Silver – the silver gallery, Symphony of Mewar – the music gallery, Long Exposure – the Photo Gallery, The Crystal Gallery and the Vintage and Classic Car Collection. A visit to the Painting Storage Area, Photographic Studio and Maharana of Mewar Special Library (MMSL) completed the day tour and left the team awestruck. Little did they know, the Mewar Sound and Light Show in the evening will become the star of the evening!
The team members from Mehrangarh who attended this meeting are:
